Teaching Teens Gym Etiquette, (aka ‘Gymsmanship’)

We're always looking for new ways here at OnCamera.Oakwood to help our community. While we typically focus on communication and marketing services and research, parenting responsibilities led us to develop a quick and easy Gym Rules guide for our teens.

Learning proper gym etiquette and consideration for others is so important - whether working out at home or the local recreation center. With busy schedules and shared resources, communicating clear expectations upfront sets kids up for success.

We designed a simple, straightforward flyer outlining basic rules like wiping down machines after use, being mindful of physical spaces, storing dumbbells and plates neatly. Direct, concise messaging reinforces the importance of respecting fellow gym-goers' experiences.

Seeing the positive impact a small visual aid can provide, we think tools like this could benefit many families. Proper ‘gymsmanship’ fosters comfortable, safe spaces for all. Our flyer is just one example of how clear communication of guidelines can teach important lifelong lessons.

While not the usual territory for our brand, we feel initiatives to strengthen community through respect are worth sharing.

Please reach out if you'd like us to provide our Gym Rules file, or if you have other ideas for family resources we could create using our communication expertise. Healthy people equals a healthy production environment.
